1IT is good to give thanks to the Lord,
and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
2 to proclaim Your faithful love in the morning,
and Your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of a ten-stringed harp,
and the melody of the lyre.
4 For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your deeds;
I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.
5 How great are Your works, O Lord;
Your thoughts are very deep!
6 A senseless man does not know,
a fool does not understand,
7 though the wicked spring up like grass,
and all the evildoers flourish,
yet they will be destroyed forever.
8 But You, Lord, are exalted forever.
9 Surely Your enemies, O Lord,
surely Your enemies will perish;
all evildoers will be scattered.
10 But my horn You have exalted
like that of the wild ox;
I have been anointed with fine oil.
11 My eyes look down on my enemies;
my ears heard the defeat of my wicked assailants.
12 The righteous flourish like the palm tree,
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the House of the Lord
flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
filled with sap and flourishing;
15 to proclaim, “The Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”
