the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover to the Lord your God, for in the month of Abib the Lord your God brought out of Egypt by night. 2 Sacrifice the Passover to the Lord your God from the flock or herd, at the place where the Lord chooses to establish His Name. 3 You must not eat bread with yeast in it. For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of affliction, because you came out of the land of Egypt in great haste—so that you may remember the day you left the land of Egypt all the days of your life. 4 No yeast is to be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, and none of the meat you sacrifice in the evening of the first day may remain until morning.
5 “You must not sacrifice the Passover within any of the towns that the Lord your God is giving you, 6 except at the place that the Lord your God will choose for His Name to dwell. There you are to sacrifice the Passover in the evening as the sun sets, at the same time you departed from Egypt. 7 You are to cook it and eat it in the place chosen by the Lord your God, and in the morning you are to return to your tents. 8 For six days you are to eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day a solemn assembly is to be held to the Lord your God, and you must not do any work.
9 “You are to count seven weeks, beginning from the time you first put the sickle to the standing grain. 10 Then you must keep the Feast of Weeks to the Lord your God by giving the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand in proportion to the blessing you have received from the Lord your God. 11 Rejoice before the Lord your God—you, and your sons and your daughters, your male servants and your female servants, the Levites in your towns, as well as the foreigners, the orphans and the widows among you, at the place where the Lord your God chooses for a dwelling for His Name. 12 Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, and be careful to follow these statutes.
13 “You are to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days, after you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and from your winepress. 14 Rejoice at your Feast—you, and your sons and your daughters, your male servants and your female servants, the Levites, the foreigners, the orphans, and the widows who live in your towns. 15 For seven days you are to celebrate a sacred feast to the Lord your God at the place that the Lord will choose, because the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.
16 “Three times a year all your males must appear before the Lord your God in the place that He will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles. They must not appear before the Lord empty-handed; 17 each man is to give as he is able, according to the blessing that the Lord your God has given you.
18 “You are to appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly. 19 You must not distort justice or show partiality, and you must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous. 20 You must pursue justice and only justice, so that you may live and possess the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
21 “You must not plant an Asherah pole of any kind of wood near the altar that you build for the Lord your God. 22 You must not set up for yourself a sacred pillar, for the Lord your God hates them.”
