Prescribed Offerings

Lord said to Moses,  2  “Command the Israelites, and say to them: ‘Be careful to offer to Me at the appointed time the food for My offerings made by fire, as a pleasing aroma to Me.  3  Say to them: ‘This is the offering made by fire that you are to present to the Lord: Each day present two year-old male lambs without defect, as a regular burnt offering.  4  You are to offer one lamb in the morning and the other lamb at twilight,  5  along with a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with a quarter of a hin of beaten oil.  6  It is a regular burnt offering that was ordained at Mount Sinai for a pleasing aroma, an offering made to the Lord by fire.  7  The drink offering with it is to be a quarter of a hin for each lamb. Pour out the drink offering to the Lord in the sanctuary area.  8  The other lamb you are to offer at twilight, along with the same kind of grain offering and drink offering as in the morning. Present it as an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

Offerings for the Sabbath

9‘On the Sabbath day, make of offering of two year-old male lambs without defect, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, and its drink offering.  10  This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.

Monthly Offerings

11  ‘At the beginning of each month present a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven year-old male lambs, all without defect, 12 , and three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for each bull, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for the ram,  13  and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering for each lamb. This is for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, an offering made to the Lord by fire.  14  Their drink offerings are to be half a hin of wine with each bull, a third of a hin with each ram, and a quarter of a hin with each lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering for every month of the year.  15  Also one male goat is to be offered for a sin offering to the Lord, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.

Offerings for the Passover

The LORD instructed the Israelites to sacrifice to Him.

16  ‘On the fourteenth day of the first month the Lord’s Passover is to held.  17  On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; unleavened bread is to be eaten for seven days.  18  On the first day there is to be a sacred assembly; you are not to do any regular work.  19  You are to present an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven year-old male lambs, all without defect.  20  The grain offering with them is to be of fine flour mixed with oil; offer three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, and two-tenths with each ram.  21  Offer one-tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs,  22  and one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for yourselves.  23  Offer these in addition to the burnt offering of the morning that is part of the regular burnt offerings.  24  In this way you are to present the food made by fire each day throughout the seven days as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. It is be offered in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.  25  On the seventh day you are to hold a sacred assembly. You are not to do any regular work.

Offerings for the Feast of Weeks

26  ‘On the day of firstfruits, when you bring an offering of new grain to the Lord during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly. You are not to do any regular work.  27  Present a burnt offering for an aroma pleasing to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven year-old male lambs,  28  with their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, two-tenths with the ram,  29  and one-tenth with each of the seven rams;  30  also one male goat to make atonement for yourselves.  31  You are to offer them in addition to the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, with their drink offerings. Be sure all the animals are without defect’.”
