are to build an altar of acacia wood. The altar is to be square, five cubits long and five cubits wide, and its height three cubits. 2 Make horns for it on its four corners, so that the horns are one piece with the altar, and overlay it with bronze. 3 Make pots to remove its ashes, and its shovels, sprinkling basins, forks, and firepans; make all of its utensils of bronze. 4 Make a grating for it, a bronze network, and make four bronze rings for the four corners of the network. 5 Set it below the ledge of the altar, so that the network is halfway up the altar. 6 Make poles for the altar out of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze. 7 The poles are to be inserted into the rings so that the poles are on the two sides of the altar when it is carried. 8 Make the altar out of boards so that it is hollow. It is to made just as you were shown on the mountain.
9 “You are to make the courtyard for the tabernacle. On the south side the courtyard shall have curtains of finely spun linen, a hundred cubits long for that side. 10 There are to be twenty posts and twenty bronze bases; the hooks of the posts and their bands are to be made of silver. 11 On the north side the curtains shall also be a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases; the hooks of the posts and their bands are to be made of silver.
12 “Make the curtains of the courtyard on the west side fifty cubits long, with ten posts and ten bases. 13 The width of the courtyard on the east side, toward the sunrise, shall also be fifty cubits. 14 The curtains on one side of the gate are to be fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases, 15 and the curtains for the other side are to be fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases.
16 “The gate of the courtyard is to have a screen twenty cubits long, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen, embroidered with needlework. It is to have four posts with four bases. 17 All the posts around the courtyard are to have silver bands, and have silver hooks and bronze bases. 18 The length of the courtyard shall be a hundred cubits, the width fifty cubits, and the height five cubits, with curtains of finely spun linen, and with bronze bases. 19 All of the utensils used in the service of the tabernacle, all of its tent pegs, and all the pegs of the courtyard, are to be made of bronze.
20 “You are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, so that the lamp may be kept burning continually. 21 In the Tent of Meeting, outside the curtain that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamp from evening until morning before the Lord. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.”
