Galatians Chapter 6

Carry Each Other’s Burdens

1
BROTHERS,

if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch out yourself that you are not also tempted.  2  Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.  3  If anyone considers himself to be something when he has nothing, he deceives himself.  4  But each person should examine his own actions; then he will have a reason for rejoicing in himself alone, and not in someone else.  5  For each person should carry his own load.

6 Anyone who receives instruction must share all his good things with his teacher.

7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he also reaps.  8  The person who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the person who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit inherit eternal life.  9  So let us not lose heart in doing good, for we will reap a harvest at the proper time if we do not give up.  10  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who are belong to the household of faith.

Paul’s Concluding Exhortation

11  See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

12  Those who want to make a good showing in the flesh would compel you to be circumcisedbut only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.  13  Even the circumcised do not themselves obey the law, but they want you to be circumcised so they may boast about your flesh.  14  May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.  15  For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but what counts is a new creation.  16  May peace and mercy be upon all who follow this rule, and upon the Israel of God.

17  From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

18  Brothers, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
